yup.  evvvvvvvvery once in a while, we get out.  we are chronic work-a-holics.  like seriously.  but last night i took a couple hours to take the girls, and zman, and my dad to the cupcake shoppe downtown raleigh.  ((happy sigh))  i honestly tried not to freak those nice cupcake workers out with my “click” “click” “click”.  “um, why is there a crazed looking woman with a baby strapped to her with these two other kids hanging out in our store clicking like a mad woman??  is she gunna BUY anything?  or just stalk us?”  see… once i got to the shop i had a sudden realization that i left my wallet at home, so i had to wait for my dad to get there, and it kinda took a little while, so we were just hanging out there for about 30 mins prior to the arrival of the man with the cash.  meanwhile, whats a girl with a 13 month old chunk strapped to the front of her to do??  why take pictures OFCOURSE!  so keep in mind, that MOST of these shots were shot with zack on the front of me pulling on my camera strap and poking his finger in my lens.  oh, and pulling my hair.  its a wonder i got Any shot in focus….  anyways, here goes!!

my beautiful jaden... i love this girl!! <3

in her new dress!! more on that dress later! ;-)

my straight-down view. straight up. wurd.

the cakes!! MMmmmm (if you like sweets. i happen to not like them so much. but i have children. and they LOVE sweets.)

that one.....

"so WHY exactly do i have to make a choice??"

a little help from her sister.... who was commenting "why aren't you taking MY picture??" ((good point))

yup. i think thats the one.

look mae! youre in this one!! : )

ahhh. my heart just smiled. i love this because this is our life. z always on his tip toes, and crumbs always on the floor. : )

z was creating havock in the shop, so before we got kicked out, we traveled outside. and this is my usual view most of my day. z at my feet.

"you still up there ma?"

FINALLY! CUPCAKES!! i agreed to get this carrot cake one. just not to eat that icing....

THIS is z. feet always on the edge. and toes always dirty. seriously, this is HIM.

i had to stick one in here of papa larry... he like... the BEST! btw.. this was about two seconds before he held zack above his head and zack drooled in his face. i have that shot, but he'd KILL me for posting it.... LOL

ahhh.... cupcake success.... nothing but wrappers... and my glop of icing....

yesterday i got to meet four week old little baby landon!  while he was a little old to get true “newborn” shots, i told his parents i’d love to get some sweet baby shots of him and them too!  after the first week of life, new babies start to wake up and start learning whats going on around them!  and landon was very much loving learning about how this thing called “life” works!  he is SO strong for a one month old, holding his head up and stretching those little legs!  his gorgeous, big blue eyes just looked all around and everything!  i did convince him to snooze a little while, but for the most part he was quite the alert, active little guy!  here are a few of my favs from our session!

doesn't he have the most Gorgeous room??! i had baby-room-itis after leaving here!!

check out those BLUE eyes!! just like his mommy's!

love those little baby toes!

with the help of a heater and a paci, we enter Zzzzz land!

sweet little fingers!

love this of them! <3

a smile for daddy... : )

we’ve soooooooo needed to get these posted on our blog!  our “new” service…. PHOTOBOOTH.  aka “crap load of fun booth”!!  after working out all our bugs in the system, we are now officially unveiling our booth!  basically, the way it works is we bring the whole sha-bang to your wedding reception and have atleast one photographer designated to run it, and atleast one (sometimes two) cameras shooting.  the goal…. to have a crap load of fun!!  : )  …and the booth isn’t just for weddings!  it could be for birthday partys or corporate events or whateva!!

the current fee for our photobooth is $500.  with that comes all the yummy stuff associated with the booth, and usually around 100 resulting images (depends on the crowd tho… the rowdier the bunch, the more the shots….) posted in a public online gallery on our site within one week of your wedding.  from there, guests can purchase from us any prints they’d like to order!  digital images of these shots are NOT included in the high-res CD of the wedding images.  this is an entirely separate thing from the wedding package.  also, with the fee the bride and groom get an 8×8 photo book of our favorite images from their booth.  we try to get most of the shots in the book, but it totally depends on the number of images we love!  ((ahhh, photobooth loooove….))

tyra and keith’s photobooth at their reception was BEYOND fun!!!  that booth was jammed packed the entire evening!  i ordered a sample book of their photobooth book and i am including shots of it below!  we have put all our booth shots in a category at the top of our blog so you can go there to see lots of examples of different booths at the couple weddings we’ve had it at.   jessica and kyle, and jordan and mindy will both have the booth at their way-fun weddings coming up in the next couple weeks so stay tuned for blog posts from their booths!

.flash my dress.

Posted on August 29, 2010

soooo yest we decided we had to play with flash. flash scares me to death. seriously. but we bought a few new things yesterday and said “heck with it! lets DO THIS!” so we headed out with my always faithful goodwill dress and went to an awesome abandoned warehouse just down the road from us… and despite the fact, as i’ve said a million times, i HATE being on the other side of the camera, these shots aren’t too bad i think… :)

couldn't decide btw the black and white or color so i just posted both... ;-)

so worth the effort it took to squeeze my body into this spot! i'm thinking "hurry up babe! my ____ is on some broken bricks! ouchy!!!"

i'm trying not to think about all the spiders there prolly were in those bricks... EEK!!

i loved the red... but i also loved the black and white.... so again... two shots....

and…. now….. for my most FAVORITE shot of the night!!!!!

yes.. white men can jump... hehe

and so i had to jump too… but gracious its hard to jump in a dress thats sweated to your bod and in heels on little bitty peebles… but here i go!!!

.memphis.

Posted on August 25, 2010

as alot of you may know, richie and i had to make a trip to memphis last friday to attend the funeral of richie’s grandfather.   the funeral was sunday in the town of kennett, missouri, and while the reason we were there was very unfortunate, richie did get to take some time to show me around where his family grew up, and we got to spend time with family we don’t usually get to see much.  you know the saying… families tend to only get together for weddings and funerals.  we were glad, though, that richie’s family got to spend some time with zack and that we could visit with everyone, even if only briefly.  this weekend zack turned 13 months old so we used the couple hours we had before we had to turn in our rental car to play around with some shots in downtown memphis!  so here we are… and heres our little man… 13 months old!  :)   first, though, i gotta post this adorable pic of z i took on the plane with the sweet iphoney!

right before our trip, richie sewed this sling to make it easier for us to carry Z around the airport! its just a basic circle, but theres NO WAY we could've made it without this awesome sling! and Z was pretty happy in it!! : )

Zs new trick.. he thinks you can't see him if his hand is over one eye. then he throws it down and we yell "PEE-PIE!" and he just laughs and laughs!

i LOVE this shot of him!!! and yes, his teeth are coming in all crazy! ; )

he's also learned to wave... and he does so at anyone that will look his way!

my love... my rock... my every breath... my best friend... <3

love this... but i should title these "shots taken while holding a 13 month old"

and now the wall series…. i saw this wall and i KNEW i wanted shots on it!  so…. we got em!  : )

i swear this makes me laugh every time i see it!

while walking back to the car from “the wall” i saw this #13 parking spot and i had to get some shots of Z by the “13″!  i could just eat this lil guy UP!  i know i’m partial but hes just the CUTEST thing!!!

THIS is z... legs always crossed and dirt on his knees and toes... he's not walking yet but he's about the most efficiant crawler there ever was! to him, no need to walk when he can speed crawl everywhere!

and then… shots of us…..  all we had was the 50 and we have a thing for the arm held shots!  so these are pretty darn close up but my heart seems to like them ok!  <3

i LOVE this shot of us!!!! even with my huge sunglasses, this is one of my all time fav shots of us!!!

the random focus shot... but i love it!

Z laughing at us shooting each other!

"who me? i didn't do Anything...." : )

i'm not good at being on the other side of the lens. but i did love these poles.

but i do love this shot.... not too shabby love... even with me as the subject!

we’ve been working our little fingers to death getting all tyra and keith’s 1500 wedding shots posted for them, that i Almost totally forgot to post some shots from her bridal session a few weeks ago!  our original destination of the campus of UNC was detoured by rain, so richie and i headed to our FAVORITE spot inside… the cotton room!  we got a few minutes of outside time before the drops came, so i was happy to get atleast a few outdoor shots before we headed in!  here are a few of our favorite shots from her session…

this was the image she chose for her canvas and it looks AMAZING!
