april and darryl… married… april 20. 2013. april and darryl’s wedding has been a Long time in the making! we’ve gotten to go along with them for about every type session we offer and have loved every single minute we’ve gotten to spend with them! their wedding day unfolded Perfectly! the weather was awesome (which is mega important with an outside wedding!). the venue was beautiful. their friends and family were a Blast! they really couldn’t have asked for a better day! and now for some of My favorites from their day! (april, you better keep on texting me thru all the episodes of the bachelor when it comes back on!!)

katrina and brent… engaged…

these two Crack Us Up!  we had a Fabulous time at their session at the nc state arboretum and the nc museum of art!  we look forward to their wedding this october at bay 7!  i think it’ll be one fine wedding!  (and some great signature cocktails!!)  here are some of my favorites from their evening!!

we met cara and dan for the first time this past sunday on the campus of NCSU! the weather was Perfect! and this was the very first time we’ve been to the stadium area! i’m not a state fan, but i have to say it was SO pretty over there! this november cara and dan will be married at the state club! do you see a pattern here?…. can we say they are state fanatics?? ha! i have to admit the red land was working for them! we Loved their session! and loved THEM! cara and dan and finley, we may just come bust up in your place in charlotte one weekend!! we don’t want to wait until November to see yall again!! heres some of my favs from their session…..

lindsay and cal married… november 3. 2012… i’ve spent all day looking back thru lindsay and cal’s wedding day, and i can say it was one of The most fun groups of people ever!! they have some killer friends. and a wonderful family. and boy they know how to throw a party!! so besides the Gorgeous venue, the oaks at salem, and some kick ass vendors, and one heck of a party, i can with 100% confidence say that lindsay loves cal. and cal loves lindsay. and i think they are pretty awesome. and now i miss their wedding day a whole bunch….

“with all this rain, our knot will be tied TIGHT!” hadley and andy were engaged under the water tower at the american tobacco campus. what better spot to be married than right there under the tower… right?? well mother nature had other plans on the day of their wedding. lots of radar watching went on this day. decisions about whether to move it inside or hope that it stayed dry during the ceremony time. but through it all you wouldn’t have found a more calm and collected couple than hadley and andy. they were like “whatever will be will be!” so weather was one thing i think about when i remember their day. the Other thing i remember is the chicken and waffles…. haha! this was my introduction to chicken and waffles. and now i feel like my life is a little more complete! durham catering did the most Delicious and Beautiful food at the reception! and man i’d love to hunt them down for some more chicken and waffles!! this wedding really was Full of The Best vendors… dana from c&d events did a fabulous job dealing with the weather and switching up the location of the ceremony. no way the day would have run as smooth without her! citrine salon… nothing but Amazing things to say about them!!! gorgeous hair. always. (AND a photographers dream to shoot in their salon! such gorgeous light!) tre bella did the beautiful flowers and the cupcake cake was by sweet memories (MMMmmmm love cupcakes at weddings!!!) joe bunn, the leader in professionally talented dj’s in wake and durham county, rocked out the reception. seriously, i’m not sure you could have gotten a more talented group of vendors if you tried! hadley and andy, you know we love yall! i know your wedding day wasn’t Exactly how you planned it, but it was an Awesome day and we were honored to have been a part of it!! and hadley, i want your reception dress to wear at least once. xxoo

then JUST as the ceremony ended, the skys dried up for a quick session outside!

this is hadley’s brother in law.  MEGA talented.  his wife, hadley’s sister, and he both work in broadway in NYC.  incredible dancers, singers, everything!  i could have watched them for Hours!

two weekends ago, on a quite chilly february day, caitlin and grant were married. these two are total class. and sooooo sweet! it was Such a for real honor to get to spend their day with them! and so flattering for them to trust us with Every single part of their day… including braving the cold for the gorgeous outside pictures and doing a first look! and Check Out this custom dress from Maggi Bridal in raleigh!!! they Custom Made the sleeves for this dress! seriously stunning!!! caitlin and grant, thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day! we love you both!! <3

and their first look, which grant says was the best decision they made all day…  they really are awesomesauce.  seriously. you just don’t get to have this physical emotional connection during a ceremony.






one of caitlin’s gifts to grant was this 74 rolls royce for the day!!  he was Shocked!  way cool idea caitlin!!  (love her parents peeping in on the side!)
and another fabulous thing about a first look… that you can exchange gifts Together.  i LOVE this part!  <3
