so excited to post this engagement session! richie and i drove up to NEW YORK CITY to do katie and ryan’s session in central park!! this was our first trip to the big city but we Loved it! it was slightly majorly intimidating, but it was a Fantastic trip! so many of our clients gave us pointers on where to go and what to do there so that was Really cool! we met katie and ryan in the Early morning for a Sunrise engagement session (one of two we did this year). they knew they wanted to do their session in central park but it gets Busy Fast so to cut down on traffic we did it at sunrise! i am pretty sure we walked the Entire park! that night we had dinner at the stanton social, where katie and ryan were so sweet to make us reservations and then we got surprised with champagne and a sweet note from them!! like sweetest thing ever!! we had Such a fantastic time with them and we can’t wait for their wedding next september in chapel hill! (this session was done about two weeks before Sandy hit…)

ahhh kelsey and andrew….  i mean how much more honored can you be than to have a bride book you Four Months before her actual engagement??  my heart is always full when i hear from this pretty lady!  after getting engaged in PARIS in july (man i wish we could have made That one!), we got to post her wedding on our blog calendar for real!   when she told me she wanted to shoot their engagement session in northern virginia we were like Heck Yes!!  its SO beautiful up there!  kelsey and andrew, we had an Awesome time at your session!  you guys made our job super easy!  and kelsey, after stalking our blog for ever, now you get to see YOU GUYS up on it!  yay!!!  we can’t wait for your wedding next fall in edenton, nc!  i’m tellin ya… you guys pick some pretty fabulous locations!!   and thanks for our college mugs!  so sweet!  <3

and then we have some “us” ones… call it “behind-the-scenes-jagg”.  lol

and if you are ever in crozet. va, there is a Fabulous little coffeeshop called “the mudhouse”… and we got to use our new mugs!!  : )

lynnsy and nick… married… august 11. 202… oh how i Loved this wedding!  and i’ve Loved looking back at their pictures as i have worked on this blog post today!  lynnsy and nick are like THE sweetest people!  so easy to work with, and due to some gorgeous genes, they were SUPER easy to photograph!  they even scheduled Extra time into their day for pictures of them and their whole wedding party!  thats like a photographers DREAM!  every minute of their day was incredible…. lynnsy and nick, it was an honor to be a part of your day!!

kassie and ben…. married… september 1. 2012…. asheville nc.  oh these two…. i’ve waited for this wedding for so long and it was everything (plus some) that i expected it to be!  i blew my “50 picture limit” out of the water with this post, so i won’t write much here (i’ve written a bunch within the blog post).

but i can’t say enough how awesome of a job kassie mae and ben did with every detail of their wedding!  and how perfect they are for each other!  this whole wedding team worked together to make this day pretty darn good!  here we go!!……

all the absolutely perfect little details:  kassie mae & ben **love**

and now i must pause to tell what happened next… because while it was pretty scary, it turned out ok, and it IS part of their story….

while in line to go out to the ceremony, kassie mae’s grandfather fell.  hard.  split his forehead open and under his eye.  the paramedics had to be called.  kassie mae wanted him to be at the ceremony SO badly.  and he wanted to as well.  but there wasn’t any getting around a hospital trip.  so as the paramedics worked on him, kassie mae and ben said their vows right there in the living room!  so utterly sweet!!!  good news is that he did well with all his tests and got stitched up and made it back to the reception!  yay!!

thunder at your ceremony, earthquakes on your honeymoon… i think you guys are in for a wild ride together!  and i don’t think two people are more better fit for each other for this life adventure!

love you guys!!  so happy we could become intertwined in your lives, even if only for a short time!  xxoo, jamie and richie

our first greek wedding.  and it was FABULOUS!!!   katie and taylor were SO much fun!  and they have such great families and friends.  and dancing.  lots of dancing…..

venues:  getting ready- marriott of greensboro downtown          ceremony- greek church of the dormition of the theotoko’s, greensboro      reception- revolution mills

i have to pause real quick to explain the next couple pictures…  i was posing the two of them while their families watched behind me and taylor placed his hand on katies belly and rubbed it and said something about a baby (TOTALLY NOT TRUE) (about there being a baby in there) and katie’s reaction was HILARIOUS!  in the first picture she is telling her family “it’s not true!!  don’t listen to him!!” and then in the second one taylor’s getting quite the laugh about it and katie is saying “WHY would you say that??!”.  there no baby as of right now, rest assured, but this was pretty entertaining to watch/photograph!  love you katie!  and love the immediate emotional reaction! and how you look like you are going to smack him with your bouquet! classic!!  gotta love a groom with a sense of humor!  ha!!

and let the greek dancing begin!!  i’m tellin ya… those greeks must have some Killer calf muscles because this circle dancing stuff looks like a calf workout gone wild!!

it was an awesome wedding.  period.  no doubt.

in eight days these two will be married in asheville.  in a barn.  i CAN. NOT. WAIT.   because they are Completely adorable together!!  and i love ALL their little wedding details!  we had a Blast with them at their engagement session a couple weeks ago!  we went to the mill in oak ridge for the first part, then her families farm for the second part.  i’ve said it before… people with huge smiles make my heart go pitter patter….  love kassie mae’s smile.  love her energy.  love the way ben loves her.  and the way she adores him back.  ….ahhhh…. big fat happy sigh….

marissa and jack were married on july 21st in marissa’s hometown of havelock, nc.  we struggled with dark skies, rain, and july heat and humidity most of the day, but we were fortunate that during the “important times”, like when we were relocating to new spots, it didn’t pour down rain like the radar teased us with the whole day.  jack is the brother of one of our past brides, charlotte, and last fall as charlotte and i talked about jack’s recent engagement she told me “jack just wants to be a husband and a dad more than anything, and he and marissa are perfect for each other!”  and she was/is totally correct!  marissa and jack are each other’s rock, and when you are around them you just know its going to be a life full of happiness and completeness for them both.  <3
