yesterday we got to do mallory and josh’s engagement session! and yes rosie showed up for a few! we married mallory’s sister braylee this past december and were Thrilled to hear about mallory and josh’s engagement soon after that! such an honor to get to work with the same family for two weddings! mallory and josh, you guys Rocked out your session! fabulous locations (and we were not harassed by the horses which was an added bonus) and perfect weather and perfect shoes (way to rock those toms josh!) and just Everything was on target! loved spending a couple hours with you guys! hope you love your images!! <3

two weekends ago, on a quite chilly february day, caitlin and grant were married. these two are total class. and sooooo sweet! it was Such a for real honor to get to spend their day with them! and so flattering for them to trust us with Every single part of their day… including braving the cold for the gorgeous outside pictures and doing a first look! and Check Out this custom dress from Maggi Bridal in raleigh!!! they Custom Made the sleeves for this dress! seriously stunning!!! caitlin and grant, thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day! we love you both!! <3

and their first look, which grant says was the best decision they made all day…  they really are awesomesauce.  seriously. you just don’t get to have this physical emotional connection during a ceremony.






one of caitlin’s gifts to grant was this 74 rolls royce for the day!!  he was Shocked!  way cool idea caitlin!!  (love her parents peeping in on the side!)
and another fabulous thing about a first look… that you can exchange gifts Together.  i LOVE this part!  <3

and now a super fun wedding from this past fall…. ann brady and david…. they were married at first presbyterian in burlington which is one of the THE prettiest churches around! then they had their reception at a NEW venue in alamance county, starlight meadow! food was by the Incredible johnny bakatias… flowers by lyn moser (ALWAYS stunning!!!)… cakes by delicious cakes in greensboro (and it tasted as good as it Looked which doesn’t always happen!)… and the reception jammed to music by randy “bad boy” smith. (sidenote, this was the first wedding i ever heard “gangnam style” at and the kids that were there that danced to it…. WOW!!!! they could go on tour! ha!). oh, and hair by the always amazing, simplicity salon in burlington! LOVE the gracefulness of ann brady and how easy going david is! so sweet in love they are! it was a pleasure to photograph their wedding!! <3

braylee and will married…. we’ve worked with these two on just about everything, from their engagement pictures, to her bridal session, to their rehearsal, and now their wedding.  and now i’m pretty attached to them!  working with them and their friends and family was truely a joy! i hope their images show their love for each other, and what a Huge Fun time we had on the 29th of december…. <3

ann and david…. engaged… june 24. 2012… burlington nc….with the temperature as hot as it is this week, I now feel very fortunate to have spent a nice and cool afternoon with Ann and David.  Ann owns a dance studio in the historic downtown of Burlington and that is where we met.  Ann and David are a really sweet couple and I was excited to work with them from the first night that Jamie and I met them!  One of the biggest complements that our couples give us is when they say, “we totally trust you guys, so just tell us what to do…”  Ann and David told me just that, so the very first thing i did was get a black and white Polaroid picture of them in front of her dance studio, with the only rule being that they go home and put it on the fridge A very big part of having an engagement session with us is not only to get great images of the couple before they are married but also getting to get to know them better both as a couple and individuals.  We spent the afternoon doing just that, getting to know each other and talking about their wedding day!  Thank You guys for sharing the evening with me!!  -Richie
