carrie and webb… married…. april 28. 2012…. first baptist church of elon and the hayloft….  after five years of dating and then a year and a half  being engaged, carrie and webb are now a happily married couple!!  : )  these two are nothing but grins when they are together, and you just can’t help but smile when you are with them!  their wedding day was a little chilly but Rain Free (we were a little nervous about the weather forecast for the day) but it turned out to be “pleasantly cool and perfect!”  they held their reception at the hayloft complete with cornhole and barbeque and plenty of eric church blasting on the speakers…. thats what i call an Awesome reception!!  carrie and webb, you guys have a Fabulous future together!  and no worries… richie and i will be by time to time to see you guys and see whats in your mom’s antique store!!  we love you both… here are some of our favorite parts of your day saturday…..  <3

flowers and cake… um… make that *FLOWERS AND CAKE!!!!*:  CRYSTAL OSBORNE, the hayloft.  i can’t even begin to say how Completely talented crystal is!!!!  talent like hers is so hard to come by!  we give her a TWELVE on our 1-10 grading scale!!

food:  the hayloft (this place is fabulous all the way around!!)       DJ:  Chris May of Big Boy Productions… again, crazy good DJ!

bethany and david… married… april 21… rand-bryan house….  bethany and david were married this past saturday at the rand-bryan house just south of raleigh.  we had a couple last year who had their reception here and i fell in love with it all over again this saturday… this is one of our most favorite venues around raleigh!  bethany did a FABULOUS job with every single little detail from the tables where each one was a little different, to the mason jars (given as wedding favors) with the hand stamped labels on them and the cool straws she got on etsy, to all the antique birds and signs and “M”s all around!  you could tell a lot of sweat and work and love went into making everything Beautiful!  the details at their wedding were some of the best we’ve seen!  and any DIY bride is one after my own heart!!   we adored them at their engagement session, and they were equally as awesome on their wedding day!   bethany and david, have a Wonderful time in california!!!  (i am super envious!)  congrats on becoming mr & mrs!!  your day was completely perfect!!

yasmeen and alex…. married… fearrington village…. april 14. 2012….  we met yasmeen last year at our friends lenka and james’ wedding.  its always flattering to have someone in the bridal party ask us to photograph Their own wedding!  this past weekend was yasmeen and alex’s wedding weekend!  and while its kind of embarrassing for me to say, this was the first time we’d been to fearrington village!  our pre-wedding meeting there a few days before their wedding was the very first time i’d even seen the venue… and i was like WOW!!!  gorgeous!!  so it was certainly a pleasure to photograph a fantastic wedding there with such a wonderful couple!  yasmeen and alex are those kind of people who just fit together so perfectly… and you know when the minister comes with a classy striped suit and a polka dotted tie that THIS is going to be great!   his ceremony, which was centered around lyrics from a michael jackson song, was funny and sweet and totally unforgettable!  and it fit yasmeen and alex Perfectly!  the good times continued to their reception where the dance floor was empty not one time!  it was very clear… this was one Big Party Group!  i have to give huge props to the staff at fearrington… they did the flowers, the food, the Everything, and it was all AMAZING!  the flowers were Stunning!  and i can tell you first hand, i had THE BEST grilled cheese sandwich i’ve ever eaten there!  for real, worth the hour drive just for that!!  ok, enough chatting… here is yasmeen and alex’s day….

flowers/grub/planners:  staff at fearrington…. *highly mega-impressive* ..can someone please let me know what restaurant there i can get one of those grilled cheese sandwiches???

DJ:  darren honeycutt… and he uses for real RECORDS!  awesomeness!!!  (i would love to link him but i have no linkage info at this point… ugh)

theres just something sweet and intimate about small wedding parties… <3

sarah and ben…. married…. april 1. 2012… barclay villa, angier nc….  and now for the preview of sarah and ben’s perfect wedding day!  richie and i LOVED working with these two!  sarah has the Best smile and we couldn’t have asked for a cooler groom to work with!  and since sarah and her sister rachel teach dance at the company their mom owns (and where my daughter takes dance) the reception was Killer fun!  sarah and ben, thanks so much for allowing richie and i to be a part of your day!  we hope you are having a FANTASTIC time on your honeymoon!  enjoy being newlyweds!!

 

 and then comes the best garter retrieval EVER!  ben is a fireman as were some of his groomsmen so they all Totally surprised sarah by getting into their fire gear and came down the main staircase to the song “somebody call 911, shawty fire burning on the dance floor”!  it was PERFECT!!!  it was hard for me to take pictures because i was laughing so hard and i wanted to Watch it!  those guys get major points for that!  suuuuuper impressive!!!!

carolyn and burns… married… march 17. 2012…. hayes barton united methodist church and the nc museum of natural science…  now that carolyn and burns are back from their honeymoon we can post up some of our favorites from their wedding day!   perfect weather, amazing family and friends,  a made-for-each-other couple, and a room full of dinosaurs came together to be a Fabulous start to our 2012 wedding season!  carolyn and burns, we are so thankful to have been a part of your wedding day!!  the day really couldn’t have gone any better for you guys!  now, enjoy a big slice of married life!  and BOOM goes the dynamite….   : )

kay and ben…. married… dec 3. 2011… burlington nc…..  ahh kay and ben.  i can’t help but have a Huge smile on my face looking at the pics from their day!  kay looked like she was on cloud nine ALL day.  she has the Best smile!  and ben, despite his goofy faces every few mins, was thrilled to death to make kay his wife!  i loved every single thing about their wedding… the flowers, her dress, the color of the bridesmaids dresses, the military dress of the guys (btw this was our first military ceremony!).  and christmas is a Fabulous time of year to get married because most of the decor is already up in the church.  the sanctuary at front street united smelled like christmas tree evergreens and i wanted to bottle it up and take it home with me!  kay and ben, it was an honor to shoot your amazing wedding!   we hope you love your images!!

{VENDORS}  flowers:  lyn moser (stunningly talented, one of my fav florists in burlington and anywhere around there!)    /   cake:  carolyn gregory (another one of burlington’s finest talent!  her cakes are always wonderful!!)   /   food:  MICHELLES KITCHEN AND CATERING… i put that in all caps because we give them one of our top food honors for 2011!  food was INCREDIBLE!  A++++.  they don’t have a site, but her email is michelleskitchen@bellsouth.net.  in fact none of those vendors have sites so i can’t link them.  i guess they are too busy doing fabulous work!!  ;- )

rachel and jason… married…. october 22, 2011… all saints chapel and the stockroom….  after doing an amazing job cleaning my moms carpets, jason told her that he was getting engaged and my mom gave him our info!  that phone call was the first time i had heard from a groom before the bride!  i thought that was pretty cool!!  soon we met the two of them and became instant friends!  these two are so perfect for each other and i anticipate many happy years ahead for them!  rachel and jason, we are so happy to have gotten to have you be a part of our lives!  you had an AMAZING wedding and everything ran so smoothly and perfectly!  i should have blogged your wedding weeks ago so my apologizes for that!  but here it is!!!… some of my fav images from your awesome day!!     … and if you are in need of a carpet cleaning (aren’t we ALL!) contact jason at caravan rugs in raleigh!!

hair:  blo salon at brier creek.  this was the first time i had been there.  WHOA what a huge place!  very efficient and everyone’s hair looked awesome.  highly recommend!
