richie and brittany and josh have cached for Years! i won’t go into all the details here, but if you like an outdoor, fun challenge, google “geocaching” (or just click that word cause i just linked it). so pretty much every time the three of them get together, they head back out into the woods. and now theres a little guy, zack. and they are very happy to bring him up in the caching world….
today they spent the day together, and richie took along his polaroid and got a couple shots of them in the woods. the kids are so lucky to have such an amazing dad!! and no matter what, their bond is never broken….

Jamie and I are always trying to find cool new way for couples to see themselves in our pictures. Many times we will use some new photography technique that involves modern equipment costing thousands of dollars. What I have recently discovered is the exact opposite of the “newest and/or latest”, and its the good old fashioned Polaroid Instamatic Camera. Now, I’m not talking about the “Polaroid” that most of you are familiar with the one with the little white edge that you hold while you “shake it” to “help it develop”. Its actually OLDER than those Polaroids…its the “pack-film” Instamatic Polaroids that were used in the 50′s and 60′s. When I bring out my Polaroid 250 Automatic Land Camera, amazing things happen…heads turn, people ask questions…but most of all our couples, absolutely LOVE what they see. I carefully craft the setting, take their picture, pull the film out, let it “finish developing” for about 2 minutes…then peel the two parts away and I am left with simply amazing results that never cease to impress me and or our couples. We will be offering Truly Vintage Photo Session in the weeks and months to come, courtesy of this new…er…old technology.
Here are some of the images I was able to capture on the spot with Lea and Brad on their wedding day. The best part of all was that I could share with them mere minutes later what I captured and then see the excitement in their eyes. While they want us to wait until they return next week from their honeymoon before we post pics from their wedding, we will post these now since they got to see them already! : )
And Then They Danced…what is amazing about this is that I was able to capture these images with my Polaroid with the same Flash that I use with my Nikon..AGAIN this camera amazes me…

this past week richie bought and basically rebuilt a polaroid 230 land camera. i gotta say… i am impressed with it. it took some AMAZING shots of us in arizona! and the reactions of people when he pulled it out was hilarious in and of itself. i know firsthand, its NOT easy to use! but a few packs of film later, i think he’s got it down! here are our ‘oid shots from our trip!!!!
