yesterday we got to do mallory and josh’s engagement session! and yes rosie showed up for a few! we married mallory’s sister braylee this past december and were Thrilled to hear about mallory and josh’s engagement soon after that! such an honor to get to work with the same family for two weddings! mallory and josh, you guys Rocked out your session! fabulous locations (and we were not harassed by the horses which was an added bonus) and perfect weather and perfect shoes (way to rock those toms josh!) and just Everything was on target! loved spending a couple hours with you guys! hope you love your images!! <3

katrina and brent… engaged…

these two Crack Us Up!  we had a Fabulous time at their session at the nc state arboretum and the nc museum of art!  we look forward to their wedding this october at bay 7!  i think it’ll be one fine wedding!  (and some great signature cocktails!!)  here are some of my favorites from their evening!!

we met cara and dan for the first time this past sunday on the campus of NCSU! the weather was Perfect! and this was the very first time we’ve been to the stadium area! i’m not a state fan, but i have to say it was SO pretty over there! this november cara and dan will be married at the state club! do you see a pattern here?…. can we say they are state fanatics?? ha! i have to admit the red land was working for them! we Loved their session! and loved THEM! cara and dan and finley, we may just come bust up in your place in charlotte one weekend!! we don’t want to wait until November to see yall again!! heres some of my favs from their session…..

braylee and will were married dec 29th. as she was getting ready she reminded me that i never blogged their engagement session! so excited to post this engagement session! richie and i drove up to NEW YORK CITY to do katie and ryan’s session in central park!! this was our first trip to the big city but we Loved it! it was slightly majorly intimidating, but it was a Fantastic trip! so many of our clients gave us pointers on where to go and what to do there so that was Really cool! we met katie and ryan in the Early morning for a Sunrise engagement session (one of two we did this year). they knew they wanted to do their session in central park but it gets Busy Fast so to cut down on traffic we did it at sunrise! i am pretty sure we walked the Entire park! that night we had dinner at the stanton social, where katie and ryan were so sweet to make us reservations and then we got surprised with champagne and a sweet note from them!! like sweetest thing ever!! we had Such a fantastic time with them and we can’t wait for their wedding next september in chapel hill! (this session was done about two weeks before Sandy hit…)

after driving to the northern part of virginia for our last engagement session, for karen and jim’s engagement session we headed the Opposite direction… to the gorgeous north carolina outer banks!!  when karen emailed me and told me they were interested in an engagement session, she mentioned that they were actually engaged on a pier in duck, nc.  i told her “oh my!  we should definitely do it there!!”  a little planning later, we met them on a Perfect evening!  the session was the first time we met them in person and from the first minute i knew we were going to get along Just Fine!  we had a Fabulous time with them and even got a six pack of one of my favorite sodas, CRUSH!  what a cute idea for an engagement session!  karen and jim, you guys are So each others soul mate!  i see a very exciting and adventurous future for the two of you!  here are some of my favorite from your session…  <3

ahhh kelsey and andrew….  i mean how much more honored can you be than to have a bride book you Four Months before her actual engagement??  my heart is always full when i hear from this pretty lady!  after getting engaged in PARIS in july (man i wish we could have made That one!), we got to post her wedding on our blog calendar for real!   when she told me she wanted to shoot their engagement session in northern virginia we were like Heck Yes!!  its SO beautiful up there!  kelsey and andrew, we had an Awesome time at your session!  you guys made our job super easy!  and kelsey, after stalking our blog for ever, now you get to see YOU GUYS up on it!  yay!!!  we can’t wait for your wedding next fall in edenton, nc!  i’m tellin ya… you guys pick some pretty fabulous locations!!   and thanks for our college mugs!  so sweet!  <3

and then we have some “us” ones… call it “behind-the-scenes-jagg”.  lol

and if you are ever in crozet. va, there is a Fabulous little coffeeshop called “the mudhouse”… and we got to use our new mugs!!  : )
