lindsay and cal… engaged… june 27.2012… NCSU…. this session was a time trying to get accomplished! i’ll be honest… theirs was my first session i wrote down on the wrong date and, well, wasn’t there when they were. TRAGIC for me. i knew i’d do that One day, and maybe now that that is over with, it won’t happen again!! cal called me and was so sweet and accomodating and we rescheduled their session for the next week. on the way to session number two it POURED rain. not a drizzle. not a steady shower. we are talking SIDEWAYS rain. richie and i kept looking at each other like “what do we do??” well we waited it out. and by the time lindsay and cal got there the sun was back out and the rain had stopped, and we began our session at the NCSU arboretum which is one of my FAV spots! at first the four of us were like “ok, this is tolerable” and we started shooting. then within about ten mins the humidity came at us almost as hard as the rain about 30 mins earlier. poor cal melted. poor lindsays hair did not follow lindsay’s instruction, so we guess what…. rescheduled again. this leads us to this past wednesday. THIS TIME the weather was Perfect! 80 degrees, no humidity. WHEW!!

lindsay and cal are opposites. ones a chatter. ones a listener. and USUALLY its the lady whos the chatter at our sessions while the guy just has that “please hurry and get this over with” look on his face. but this time it was cal who was much happier talking than having a camera pointed at him. and it was lindsay who always looked at him with a smile and with this massive amount of love as if she could listen to him talk all day long about whatever his choice topic would be. but they made each other laugh Over and Over, and ME TOO! my face hurt from smiling so much during their session. then towards the end of our session, as richie and cal walked ahead completely involved in a conversation about soccer, lindsay let me in on something that made TOTAL sense…. cal has three sisters. ahhhhh… i understand now! “he never could get anyone to listen to him over the girls,” she joked. so now, he’s got the Perfect listening partner! these two are SO adorable together and i can Completely see how they could fall in love with each other and want to commit their lives to each other. we absolutely look forward to their humidity-free november wedding this year! : )
