courtney and chris… married… hayloft… mccleansville nc…. ahhh courtney and chris… these two are our peeps. i could easily write a novel on their story with us, and how before they booked us we booked another couple on their date, and all the tears that ensued after that, and then the other couple moved their wedding date and one of the highlights of my world was telling courtney that we could shoot their wedding!!! their reaction was nothing short of the most flattering thing we’ve seen since “jagg” began. and suddenly the four of us became one. i can’t tell you how absolutely PERFECT these two are for each other. courtney is one of the most playful, humorous, laugh-a-minute people i know, and chris does nothing but laugh at her jokes and humors her every wish. like the time at their engagement session when courtney wanted to do the “wheelbarrow” with him and he was like “no” but quickly obliged because he know it was something she wanted to do. and all the funny jumping shots. anyone could tell he wasn’t totally up for that either, but he did them. and he did them with a smile on his face as he watched her light up with joy. then there was the weight-loss-coming-to-jesus meeting they had at church about how all courtney wanted was for us to shoot her wedding and so her fanclub convinced her to lose some weight so that she’d love herself in her pictures, AND SHE DID! (go courtney!!) and not only do we love courtney, but she has the most AWESOME parents. her mom and dad adore her and to watch their relationship makes me wish that all parents and children could have a relationship like they do. you just can’t be around courtney and chris without having a HUGE smile on your face, and so many times courtney has made tears from laughter roll down my face. i would be sad that their wedding is over now, but there isn’t Any Way we are cutting the cord with these two! to my two csauls… its honestly an honor to have you both in our lives. we love you both. and we love to watch what you both share. thank you for letting us document your lives….
venue: the hayloft… who also did the AMAZING flowers!!! seriously, gorge.
DJ: “chubs”, chris may of big boy productions. LOVE chubs. but chubs, if you ever park your truck in that same spot i willlll … well i don’t know what i’ll do. maybe ask nicely for you to move it? courtney said i could say that. still love ya tho. hmm… can’t find a link to link ya. so here is my shout-out for ya: LOVE CHUBS! IF YOU WANT YOUR RECEPTION TO ROCK, HIRE HIM.
hair and makeup: west end salon, burlington

i have to pause before i post these next group of pictures and say this… their first look…. one of THE sweetest, and most honest, and most heartfelt first looks we’ve ever witnessed. i won’t ever forget the way chris kept looking at courtney and just shaking his head and telling her “babe, you look absolutely beautiful”. they both cried. it was sooooo sweet. and afterward chris just kept telling us “i don’t know what you just did… but that was Magical!”. the whole day was Wonderful… but i think that moment will rank at the top of his happy memory list. THIS is why we encourage first looks. because couples JUST DONT GET THIS TIME in the front of a church with 200 people watching them. and we don’t ever see emotion LIKE THIS during ceremonies. we don’t get to see couples HOLD each other like this during ceremonies. it just isn’t anywhere near the same.

dear courtney and chris, go water your tree. xxoxx, JaR
