we watched “wedding crashers” the other day and now my mom and richie and i are saying “what are you DEWING” allllll the time…… so thats where that title is referring too… haha….   while it seems from our blog that we are just kinda hangin out and shooting a wedding every now and then, we are FAR from chillaxin!  besides shooting weddings and editing thousands of pictures in just a few days, we have been bridaling it up!!  unfortunately, when we shoot bridals we can’t post pics from it until after the bride is married.  *sniff*   so i wanted to do a quick little post with a few shots of us shooting……

and then a few bridal sneak peaks (while trying to keep the dress fairly inconspicuous…. hehe)

ahhh sara and joel…. theres a few things i won’t ever forget about their day….  1- how awesome they kiss, 2- how happy they were that day, and 3-… how cold it was.  they tied the knot on the beach of the north carolina outer banks.  and while the weather the days preceding were 75 and sunny, the day of their wedding was, um, not.  and while the wind blew and while we all wrapped up as tight as we could, sara and joel both BEAMED that day.  and their title we gave them at their engagement session of “best kissers EVER” (besides richie and i of course… haha), they kept that day…

sara and joel were so excited to do a first look!!  and we are CERTAINLY glad they did, because had they Not, i’m afraid they wouldn’t have gotten many of the two of them after the ceremony because all of us were like little popsicles by the end of the ceremony.  so they were VERY happy with their decision to do the first look!  here are just Some of my favorites…..

i got to photograph miss madelyn IN the belly…. (may have been one of my FAV maternity shoots!)

……and now at one year!!   i can’t believe a year has gone by already!  and miss madelyn was just the Cutest thing today!   meghan and wes, you have one terrific little girl on your hands!  i hope you love your shots from today…. i told you i got some good ones despite her wishes to do other things today… like eat peachy astronaut food!  love you guys!  please give miss madelyn a big hug from me on her birthday!!  xxoo, jamie

one of my new years resolutions was to take more pics of our kids.  i know that sounds CraZy… i mean we ARE photographers… right??  shouldn’t we have like a million pics of all our kids??  well, it just doesn’t happen.  you see zack, a lot, on our blog and on facebook.  main reason:  he’s here all day.  all the other kids are either at school here or at school 800 miles away.  so we get more pics of z, cause, percentagely (i just made up that word i think) he’s here WAY more than his 5 other brothers and sisters.  yesterday, though, the weather was supposed to be nice.  the kids had early release so we’d have plenty of time to get everyone ready, so it seemed Perfect.  well, “perfect” doesn’t really happen for us much.  so as our luck would have it, the weather was FREEZING, and the kids weren’t in the most cooperative mood, so we ended up shooting in our stairwell, and mae and jaden agreed to do a Couple in a field down the street, but it was hard with the bitter wind.  i don’t blame them.  i get really grumpy when i shoot in the cold, so i was ready to head back to our rather warm, safe van pretty quickly after we got out there!  so here are some of my favs from our “kinda sorta session” yesterday….
