we just moved to wake forest this summer and i knew i needed to find an orthodontist for my poor kids jacked up teeth.  (they got it from me.  i accept genetic responibility.)  soooo…. i did what i always do when i am searching for something and i plugged it in my iphoney.  “wake forest orthodontist” i wrote in my map search.  i think three options came up.  i looked at the map and decided the Best orthodontist i’m SURE is definitely the CLOSEST one to me…. right??  well i went with it and i called and made an appt for my two oldest.  let me tell you… i NEVER regretted my location-only based choice….  as soon as i walked in i was like “yeah, this pretty much rocks.  theres an arcade room and the coolest coffee station ever!”  and the staff there were SO nice!  we met with ashley for our consult and i say anyone who comments on my finger nail polish is good peeps to me!  then i met dr gladwell who was totally cool and i was just in love with everything!  over the next couple visits it came up that i was a photographer and ashley inquired if i’d be interested in shooting some office pics and some pics for their christmas card!  um… YES!  yes Please!  where do i sign for THAT?!  and thus it came to be…. and richie and i had the Best time shooting this group!  here are some of our favs… and yeah you can pretty much see why we love them.  love.  <3    and here is their link for anyone within the wake forest yelling distance…. gladwell orthodontists.

and now for the outside, fun stuff…..  these ladies (and one gentleman) braved the FREEZING 50ish degree weather like Champs!  : )

whew!  i’m on a blogging roll today!!  HOLLA!!  sooooo…. embarrassed to say richie and i shot caitlyn and justins first part of their engagement shoot like three weeks ago!!  then we were at the beach and then came three october weddings and so somehow we never got to post their session.  but here it is!!!!  well like a FEW of my favorite part of our session…..

we met caitlyn and justin a year ago at our best friends chloe and nathan’s house!  we were so excited to hear about their engagement a few months ago and even MORE excited when they contacted us about doing their wedding next may!!  we were SO glad it wasn’t on one of our already full may dates!!  we shot their engagement session in a field on the outside of chapel hill and i got to have so much fun with this themed session!  love their pics!!  <3

my mom has always told me she has the Best guy that cleans her rugs.  not long ago she said “he’s going to be getting engaged and i gave him your info!!  i hope he calls you!  he’s so nice!!!”.  well he did call me.  and my mom couldn’t have been more right (nothing unusual…)!  jason was SO excited that he was about to propose to his girlfriend, rachel, and he knew he wanted us to photograph their wedding!  we talked several times before his big day (the engagement day) and on 10.10.10 on the beach, he proposed!!  he called me THAT day!  a couple weeks later we finally got to meet them in person!  SUCH a sweet couple!  we knew we were a perfect match for them!  we got to go venue hunting with them and they did find the Perfect place for their wedding And reception!  we can’t wait to shoot their wedding next october!!

this past sunday we got to meet up with them on the campus of UNC chapel hill!  we Love the heels so it was super awesome to get to do shots of them all over campus!  we got to shoot inside kenan stadium and at the bell tower and at the well and down franklin street!  we had such a great time shooting them!  here are just a few of our favs!!

and i had to stick this shot in here…. as we waited for jason and rachel we ventured in the main campus bookstore and as we wandered thru we saw a picture of MY COUSIN!!!  he’s a pro golfer who went to carolina!  it was just really cool to see him on the wall!

i am SO behind in blogging, so i start this blog post with an upfront acknowledgement in my inability to keep up in the blogging department!  whew!!  so here goes a bunch of blog updates in no real particular order…..

first up, is baby landon!  we shot this chunky guy as a one month old and his parents decided to go with a year-long package where we photograph him every three months for the first year!  so he will make a regular appearance on our blog over the next year!  yay!!  here he was as an almost one-month old lil guy…..

and he’s the lil guy at three months old!!  gotta love a chunky baby in a carolina outfit!!  : )
