janna and tyler were married just a couple weeks ago and while they had an Amazing evening wedding, it was dark, and so we couldn’t get the shots we wanted of the two of them together after the ceremony. instead of doing a first look on their wedding day, they opted for an “after-session” after they got back from their honeymoon! we did their shoot yesterday at one of the duplin winery vineyards down in eastern north carolina! janna is an event coordinator for the duplin winery and we have wanted to shoot them there ever since i knew she worked there! yesterday it was COLD but janna stuck it thru and we got some great shots of her and tyler! they are THE SWEETEST couple and they remind us of innocence of that new, fresh love! they are soooo cute together… taking their pictures is EASY!
on the way, however, we had a FLAT TIRE! it was my Very First flat tire like Ever! i can’t tell you enough how glad i was richie was with me cause i’d have Freaked if he wasn’t!! we were on the side of the interstate so it was pretty scary!! but despite the cars flying by rocking the suburban, and sticking it thru the chilly wind, my sweet love changed that tire in NO time!!! i was doing “my part” by watching for traffic (like what was i gunna do about any cars headed towards us…) but i took a few seconds off my post to get a couple shots of my knight! just for the record….
and it made me glad we always leave early for our shoots! we were an HOUR ahead of schedule when we left but ended up getting there right on time! holla!!
and now for a few of my favs of the gorgeous mr and mrs bass……

Jamie and I first met with Anne and her mom about a year ago. Her bubbly and cheerful personality instantly won us over. She has dated her fiance Shawn since High School and you would be hard pressed to find two better friends. Jamie and I had a really great time at both their rehearsal dinner and wedding this weekend. It was a true honor to see them with their family and friends all coming together to celebrate what was indeed a very happy time. Here is a sneak peek at Anne and Shawns big day…

tonight richie and i got to shoot a senior session with miss jazmin… who was about the most willing, cooperative, sweetest, bravest girl we’ve ever shot! not only did she have this super contagious smile, but she was willing to do ANYthing we asked her to do! this included Wading calf-high in a freezing creek and rock hopping thru the woods and briers to get to “the spots” we asked her to go. and never ONCE did she hesitate or complain! she just kept on smiling…. jazmin, it was a total pleasure to shoot you tonight and we had a Great time with you and your awesome mom! i hope you love these sneak peak shots…. i think you look Beautiful!! xxoo, jamie and richie

well… sports clips. his hair was getting SO long and while i wanted to wait for kelly to cut it when we go to memphis for thanksgiving, poor z’s hair was starting to poke him in the eyeball. so i Had to rescue him from hair-in -the-eyeball and i took him to sports clips. i did learn one thing… don’t plan on taking a one year old to get his hair cut AND take pics of him at the same time. i swore that lady was going to throw my camera AT me cause she really needed me to Hold him in the chair. but i did manage to get a few, but it was HARD! and then afterwards z just wanted to run (i’m sure didn’t have anything to do with the SUCKER that the lady gave him afterwards…..) so i didn’t really get any good pics of his new “big boy” ‘do…

i have to say... this sports clips place is SUPER cool on the inside. and i didn't even know this place existed!

i'm pretty much holding z on the chair with my leg and shooting pics at the same time. and trying to keep z distracted at the same time.

i got morgan and james’ engagement book this week and i wanted to share pics of it before i mail it off to them! these books are just so gorgeous! i do custom layouts for each book depending on how many shots the client chooses. our “jagg session” comes with one of these 10×10 20 page books with the lay-flat pages and custom photo cover. the clients get to choose thirty to forty shots to go in their book and then they get an low-res CD with those 30-40 images on it. they also get five 5×7 matboards of their choice. our clients have Loved this package and we love being able to provide it to them! here are shots of morgan and james’ book!

notice that gorgeous two page spread?? thats why i try to convince my clients not to pack too many shots into their book... cause i love to have one or two full spreads!
