when z was a baby and i would nurse him when he’d latch on i’d Scream in pain! (thank you yeast invaders) so it wasn’t long until i called him my little shark…. cause thats exactly how it felt!! like a little baby nurse shark grabbin on to me! well the shark nickname has stuck around and this halloween the kids found the PERFECT costume for him…. a SHARK!!! well we’ve struggled with him being willing to wear it this week and we were worried we wouldn’t get any pics of him in it. but this morning i just put it on him and said “its now or never bud.” after a few mins of wonder, he decided it wasn’t going to eat him…. hehe. so we hurried down the street to get some shots of him really fast before he changed his mind!!! here he is…. our little 15 month old shark. : )

Jamie and I are always trying to find cool new way for couples to see themselves in our pictures. Many times we will use some new photography technique that involves modern equipment costing thousands of dollars. What I have recently discovered is the exact opposite of the “newest and/or latest”, and its the good old fashioned Polaroid Instamatic Camera. Now, I’m not talking about the “Polaroid” that most of you are familiar with the one with the little white edge that you hold while you “shake it” to “help it develop”. Its actually OLDER than those Polaroids…its the “pack-film” Instamatic Polaroids that were used in the 50′s and 60′s. When I bring out my Polaroid 250 Automatic Land Camera, amazing things happen…heads turn, people ask questions…but most of all our couples, absolutely LOVE what they see. I carefully craft the setting, take their picture, pull the film out, let it “finish developing” for about 2 minutes…then peel the two parts away and I am left with simply amazing results that never cease to impress me and or our couples. We will be offering Truly Vintage Photo Session in the weeks and months to come, courtesy of this new…er…old technology.
Here are some of the images I was able to capture on the spot with Lea and Brad on their wedding day. The best part of all was that I could share with them mere minutes later what I captured and then see the excitement in their eyes. While they want us to wait until they return next week from their honeymoon before we post pics from their wedding, we will post these now since they got to see them already! : )
And Then They Danced…what is amazing about this is that I was able to capture these images with my Polaroid with the same Flash that I use with my Nikon..AGAIN this camera amazes me…
